Platforms and Requirements

Order Automatica released on 4 September 2026 as a worldwide, multi-platform launch. Developer New Beings (Mickey Sanchez) built the PC game. better. publishing and Comma 49 publish it. Draw Distance handled the console ports. This page is the store list, the price, the language list, and the system requirements the Steam page actually prints.

The game is single-player. There is no local cooperative mode, no online board, and no cross-play lobby. A PlayStation copy and a Steam copy are the same ranks and the same 3x3 rules. Only the cursor changes. See Controls for pads and Steam Deck.

Where to buy

  • PC: Steam and GOG. A free demo still exists on Steam (app 2577030) if you want the teaching build before you pay.
  • PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
  • Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (Smart Delivery, 4K / 120 fps flags on Series)
  • Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
  • iOS (App Store; pre-order existed before launch) and Android (Google Play)

Launch list price is $5.99 USD, with a 20% discount for two weeks from 4 September on PC, Switch, Xbox, and the mobile stores. A Supporter Edition bundles the Brendan McCracken soundtrack. Steam also stacked launch bundles with other dark indies (Backpack Hero, Death Howl, Inscryption, and friends). Regional prices were called out for China, Korea, and Japan when Comma 49 joined for Asian localization.

Languages

Steam interface and subtitles at launch: English, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean. No full voice-over; the game is text and pixel portraits. This wiki covers English plus Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. We skip Simplified Chinese and Russian on purpose. Legal pages stay in English.

PC system requirements

Steam’s minimum and recommended blocks are honest to the point of comedy, and they are the official spec:

  • OS: Any recent Windows version
  • CPU: Probably any processor from the last six years
  • RAM: 100 MB
  • GPU: Probably any graphics card will work
  • Storage: 100 MB
  • Note: “If this doesn’t run on your windows machine let me know.”

There is no Mac or Linux depot on the Steam storefront at launch. Steam Deck is playable with full controller support. Steam Cloud and 19 achievements are enabled. Family Sharing is listed.

Console and mobile notes

Xbox lists Everyone 10+ with Fantasy Violence; Europe sees PEGI 7. Handheld Switch is playable because fights are not twitch. Preparation has no timer, which is the accessibility flag Steam already prints (playable at your own pace, no timed input, save anytime, mouse-only option, custom volume).

Cloud saves on Steam cover PC and Deck. Console and mobile saves stay on those platforms unless the publisher adds a later account link. Do not assume a phone ritual continues on your TV.

Soundtrack and extras

The Order Automatica Soundtrack is a separate Steam app (5055460) by Brendan McCracken. Track names from the store page include Cathedron, The Hit, Haunted Halls, The Return, and NIN3. You do not need it to finish Adept.

Learn the game in Getting Started. Check what shipped in launch notes. Official social and Discord links sit on links. If a cached store preview looks stale, trust the 4 September 2026 release date and the live store instead of an old trailer description.

Cross-save does not exist between Xbox and Steam. Buy once per ecosystem. Family Sharing on Steam can put the PC copy on another household machine; it will not put Adept on a friend’s Switch. Game Pass or subscription bundles were not part of the day-one message. If a later store tags the game as a subscription extra, we will note it here without assuming it is true today.

Input recap by device: mouse on Windows, full gamepad on every console listed above, touch on phones, Steam Deck on the official pad layout. None of those inputs add a second player. If two people want to share a ritual, they pass the controller during preparation. The fight will still play itself.

When a platform build lags a PC hotfix, believe the in-game version string in the corner of screenshots (launch-week captures showed 1.00.04-style watermarks) and wait for cert. Do not mix a Switch shop with a Steam Distill change until both version strings match. The updates hub is where those splits will be written down.
